Terms of Service
Version v2.0 (2026-06-15)
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The legally binding version is the Korean original; in case of any discrepancy, the Korean text prevails.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using Bomul Yeojido (the “Service”) and the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the operator and users.
Article 2 (Definition & Content of the Service)
Bomul Yeojido is a heritage-exploration support service that provides the locations and information of Korea’s state-designated heritage (National Treasures, Treasures, Natural Monuments, Historic Sites, etc.) on a map, and lets users record visits as stamps.
- Browsing heritage locations and details (map/list)
- Visit stamps — permanent storage and sync after Google login
- GPS visit verification — within 100 m of the site (v0.4~)
- Multilingual service (Korean/English)
- Error reports and user feedback
Article 3 (Effect & Changes)
- These Terms take effect when posted on the initial screen or the Privacy Policy page.
- The operator may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law.
- Changes are announced 7 days in advance; changes unfavorable to users, 30 days in advance.
- Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Use of the Service)
4-1. Non-member use
Map exploration/search, detail viewing, list/filters, and error reports (email optional) are available without login.
4-2. Member (login) use
Visit stamps (click/GPS), permanent storage with multi-device sync, and My Journey (/journey) require Google login.
4-3. Availability
The Service is provided 24/7 in principle, but may be suspended for maintenance, server faults, or operator circumstances.
Article 5 (Sign-up & Account)
- Users sign up via Google OAuth; there is no separate registration form.
- Users under 14 may not sign up. By logging in, a user is deemed to be at least 14 years old.
- Users must not use others’ accounts or share account credentials.
- Account security (Google account) is the user’s own responsibility.
Article 6 (Withdrawal & Data Deletion)
- Users may request withdrawal at any time via in-service settings or by contacting the operator.
- Upon withdrawal, account info and all visit records (including location data) are permanently deleted.
- Deleted data cannot be recovered.
- Submitted error reports may be retained anonymously for service improvement.
Article 7 (User Obligations & Prohibited Acts)

Article 8 (Content & Intellectual Property)
Heritage data is based on public data from the Korea Heritage Service (khs.go.kr). Please verify the latest information on the official site; sites with unconfirmed coordinates may differ from the displayed location.
The Service’s UI, code, logo, and planning are the operator’s intellectual property and may not be commercially copied, distributed, or modified without prior consent.
The operator may use submitted error reports for service improvement.
Article 9 (Location Consent Terms — applies with v0.4 GPS verification)
This article applies upon release of GPS visit verification (v0.4), in line with Article 19(1) of the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information.

9-2. Rights of the location-information subject & legal representative
- Withdraw consent to collection/use/provision of location data
- Request suspension of collection/use/provision
- Request access to / disclosure of usage-record evidence
- Immediate deletion of all location data upon withdrawal
Legal representative rights (Location Information Act Arts. 25, 26): for users under 14, a legal representative may exercise these rights. However, this Service does not accept members under 14. Exercise via the in-service feedback menu.
9-3. Content of the location-based service

9-4. Usage-record evidence — basis & period
Where Article 16(2) applies, the operator automatically records and retains usage-record evidence (who, when, and for what purpose location data was used) in the location system.

9-6. Declining permission & withdrawing consent
- GPS verification collects current coordinates (lat/lng) once.
- Users may decline browser location permission; only GPS verification is then unavailable.
- Users may withdraw consent at any time; GPS verification is then unavailable.
- Collected location data is deleted immediately upon account withdrawal.
Article 10 (Disclaimer & Liability)
- The operator is not liable for outages due to force majeure (disasters, server/network failures).
- The operator is not liable for damages arising from the user’s own fault.
- The operator bears no legal liability for the accuracy of heritage information; use the Korea Heritage Service site for official data.
- The operator does not intervene in disputes between users or with third parties.
Article 11 (Disputes & Jurisdiction)
- Disputes are first resolved through consultation between the operator and the user.
- If unresolved, the laws of the Republic of Korea govern, and the competent court is determined under the Civil Procedure Act.
