Description

This is the place where the building of the Unified Silla Era stood. In 1937 when the maintenance work on the bank of Bukcheon was done, the vestiges of a dirt platform were found, which making historians assume that a temple stood there a long time ago; thus, the surrounding area around was excavated in part. As a result, the site of six sanctuaries, the site of six long corridors, the site of two doors, and the site of three fences were found; the site of two draining facilities made of earth and tile and site of one well were also ascertained. The excavated relics included tiles and bowls. Judging from the relics and the site of building site, it seemed to be the site of the Unified Silla Era, but the character of the building can hardly be visualized. Considering the arrangement and the structure of the building, it is an important relic since it seemed to have been a government office or the mansion of the noble.
