Samseonghyeol had three holes representing the birth of the founders of the Go, Yang, and Bu Clans. Three founders wore leather clothes and survived by hunting. They started farming after they were married to three princesses who carried seeds of five kinds of grains, calves, and foals from Byeongnang. Among the three holes, the arranged pum (品)-shaped hole connected with the sea, with the traces of the rest remaining. The monument was erected to hold a ceremony in the 21st year of the reign of King Jungjong (1526) of Joseon, with a fence made around it for the ceremony in spring and fall.
