Description

This is the tomb of Ilseong (134-154), the 7th king of the Silla Dynasty who stopped Malgal's invasion into Silla's territory. He constructed embankments and encouraged the cultivation of wasted lands. He warned against extravagance by forbidding the use of gold, silver, and jade. This is a round mound-type tomb with height of 5.3m and diameter of 15m. The foundation of the round, earthen tumulus is supported by stones, and the inside is a stone chamber with tunnel entrance.
