Description
This is the tomb where King Jeonggang, who reigned from 886 to 887, is buried. As the second son of King Gyeongmun, he ascended to the throne in July 886 after his son King Heongang but reigned for only one year before passing away in July of the following year. The exterior of the tomb is covered with earth, with three layers of the stone circle embosoming the bottom circumference. The lowest layer of the stone circle protrudes to some degree. The stone layer in front of the tomb has a board for memorial services on the surface. The structure of this tomb is similar to that of King Heongang. Nonetheless, an examination of the tomb of King Heongang in 1993 revealed that the relics from -- and the inner structure of -- these two royal tombs from the 9th century are different from those from the 8th century.
