Description

The tomb is located on the slope of a hill reaching from the peak (400m) to the west-south. The tomb is round, and the inside has a burial chamber and a corridor linking it with the entrance. Based on these characteristics, it is named stone chamber tomb with tunnel entrances. The type of the room with coffin is rectangular -- about 3.5m long to the west and east and about 2m to the north and south -- and is about 2m high. The room gets narrower from the wall to the ceiling that is covered with two stones side by side. All the walls except the ceiling were decorated by colored picture. The picture of a bird's head is painted on the east wall, with people and inlaid letters painted on the south wall, three mountains, lotus, and pattern of cloud, on the north wall, and wood and house as well as a historic picture of presumably a gatekeeper, on the west wall. There are pictures on the east and west walls of the corridor, with a man holding a snake by the hand on the west wall and a strong man with glaring eyes on the east wall. The picture was painted presumably for the protection of the dead in the tomb. The pictures on the tomb are valuable remains in understanding painting in the Three Kingdoms Period, values of religion and those of the next world after death, cultural exchange with Goguryeo, etc.
