Description

The Evergreen Forest of Mijo-ri is located on a hill in front of the town, and is known for having hundreds of rare and valuable trees such as Machilus, Machi Trees, Formosa Rice Trees, Saw-leaf Zelkova, and Japanese Hackberries. The forest has been protected well as it plays the role of shielding the area from the winds and provides ideal conditions for fishing. Therefore, it is designated and protected as a Natural Monument.
