Description
Hallasan Mountain Natural Reserve is 600~1,300m above sea level centering on Hallasan Mountain. It includes some valleys and a few areas where special plants grow. At 1,950m above sea level, Hallasan Mountain is the highest volcanic mountain in South Korea with 360 parasite volcanoes. Its geography is shaped by volcanic eruptions. Hallasan Mountain has various plant distributions according to its height. At the foot of the mountain, a subtropical forest is formed. In the middle is a temperate forest, and above it is a subarctic forest.
