Description
The Evergreen Forest of Mira-ri, Wando spreads 400m along the shore of Soando Island. There are lots of rare and valuable trees such as Cyathea Cuspidata and Chestnut Tree. As a village guardian, the forest has long been worshipped by the local community to pay homage to it to pray for good luck and a big catch. Now, there are few evergreen forests in Korea. Since the Evergreen Forest of Mira-ri, Wando is biologically valuable and has lots of rare and valuable trees , it is designated and protected as a Natural Monument.
