Description
"The population of golden rain tree and black jetbead in Balsan-ri is located on the slope beside the shore. Golden rain trees are tall, with thick branches that spread upward. The leaves sprout in spring and get shed in autumn. Its flowers are yellow and bloom in mid-summer; and the fruits ripen in October. The black jetbead is short, with many boughs. The leaves sprout in spring and get shed in autumn. The flowers bloom in May and the fruits ripen in September. The population of golden rain trees and black jetbead in Balsan-ri is the largest in number and covers widest area among all the stock places. Therefore, it is designated and protected as a Natural Monument."
