Description
“As a plant distributed in Pyeongannam-do and Hamgyeongnam-do, Gaeneusam (Echinosophora koreensis) survives well in cold or barren places. The stalk of this plant is thick, and the branches spread high. It has broad leaves which burgeon in spring and get shed in fall. Its yellow flowers bloom in early spring. The tip of the stalk is slightly crooked. Gaeneusam (Echinosophora koreensis) grows only in Korea. Since Daeamsan Mountain in Bibonggongwon Park of Yanggu is a southernmost area where Gaeneusam (Echinosophora koreensis) can grow, the natural habitat of Gaeneusam in Yanggu is designated as a Natural Monument.”
