Description
The evergreen forest of Andeokgyegok Valley is located along the the southeastern roadside of Jeju-do. There are a lot of rare and valuable plants and trees, including machilus, cuspidate, etc. Andeokgyegok Valley has a hospitable environment for living. In addition, it is also a historic place where many scholars including Kim Jeong-hui (pen-name, Chusa) lived. Since this evergreen forest of Andeokgyegok Valley, Jeju has a lot of rare and valuable plants and trees as well as biological value as a virgin forest, it is designated and protected as a Natural Monument.
