Description
The fortunes creeping spindle (Euonymus fortunei) is a kind of spindle tree. This tree is a vine plant that belongs to the Oriental bittersweet. The roots from its stem creep on a rock. It blooms light-green between May and June, and the fruits ripen into light-red in October. A community of this tree is located on the cliff of Maibong Peak in Maisan Mountain. A community of this tree in Maisan Mountain is the northernmost habitat in land, and trees grow in a group. It has been designated and protected as a Natural Monument for its great ecological value.
