Description

Susandonggul Lava Tube, Jeju is a long lava cave stretching 4,520m and featuring a great variety of micro-landforms and speleothems (cave features), including 3 lava pillars, three-story structure, lava shelves, lava stalactites, and lava bridge. In addition, the cave has great academic value since it enables studying the process of Jeju Island’s formation through its numerous quartz inclusions and xenoliths, composed of igneous rocks.
