Description
The dinosaur fossils here are characterized by long tracks of meat-eating theropods concentrated in a single area, including some 57 footprints extending for 52 meters. The area also features large and medium-sized fossilized footprints of theropods mixed with those of plant-eating sauropods and ornithopods, totaling some 1,500. The area has also large-scale sedimentary structures containing petrified wood, plant fossils, and other trace fossils such as sun cracks and ripple marks. The horizontal sedimentary layers are well developed, adding to the already considerable academic value of the fossil site.
