Description
As the oldest of all the remaining trees on Dokdo Island, this spindle tree is also known as one of the trees that can best adapt to the island’s difficult environment. The tree is greatly loved by Korean people largely because, as they believe, it has protected the easternmost part of the Korean territory for more than one hundred years.
