Description
As a book compiled by Monk Zhizhao of the Song Dynasty of China, Incheon anmok contains summarized information on the basic philosophy of the five leading Buddhist sects and the deeds carried out by their founders. It is one of the most read Buddhist books in Korea. This book (three volumes in a book) was published by Monk Muhak at Hoeamsa Temple in 1395 (the 4th year of King Taejo’s reign) based on the book previously published in 1357 (the 6th year of the reign of King Gongmin of Goryeo) by Gang Geum-gang, who carried out activities in the Yuan Dynasty of China. Printed on mulberry paper out of the wood block, it measures 25.3㎝ by 16.7㎝.
