Description
Ancient records on Bangchojeong Pavilion and the comments inscribed on its ridge beam shed some light on how it was built, repaired and rebuilt again over the years. Although parts of the framework have clearly been repaired or replaced in the intervening years, the pavilion’s overall structure generally follows the style of the late Joseon period, and it has been preserved well since its renovation in 1788, making it a valuable heritage from the historic, artistic, and academic perspectives.
