Description

Unlike other pavilions, this pavilion in Cheongsong is built on natural rock and features an ondol-heating system. It has a unique structure with columns inside with a truss of five girders that meet the crossbeam of the floor of a veranda at inside columns on the same height. There are many records about its initial construction and renovation, and it appears to have been built to meet the needs of the local government. Its plane composition expresses its identity well. A characteristic wooden structure of the late Joseon period, it is considered a valuable heritage from the historic, artistic, and architectural perspectives.
