Description
Mandaeru Pavilion is a fine example not only of the tower-shaped structures that used to be built at Confucian private schools, but also the use of wonderful traditional landscaping techniques to fully exploit the natural surroundings. It also exhibits a sense of restraint with regard to manipulations and embellishments, and is regarded as a neo-Confucian structure that faithfully conforms to the basic principles of traditional Korean architecture.
