Description
This book was originally Sangeosayo written by Yang U, a Court Astrologer of the Han Dynasty, but was enlarged and edited by Wang Yeo-mu, a scholar of the Yuan Dynasty of China. It consists of four volumes in one book. It classifies and describes four key elements that people residing in mountain villages should know in leading their daily life. The 4 elements are classified into 74 items; under each item, relevant examples, cross-examinations, and prescriptions are described. This book does not have any preface or epilogue written by Koreans, so the exact publication year of this book is not known. Based on its preservation condition, however, it seems to have been published during the reign of King Seongjong of the Joseon Dynasty. As a medicine book, this book provides valuable information about the publication of medicine books during the early Joseon period.
