Description
This book was compiled by Monk Yongjia Xuanjue (647-713) of the Tang Dynasty of China, with Monk Hyegeun Hwasang of Hoeamsa Temple obtaining a copy during the Goryeo Period (918-1392). Monk Hwonseon, one of his disciples, printed copies at Cheongryongsa Temple in Chungju with the help of scholar Yi Bang-jik in 1381 (the 7th year of the reign of King U of Goryeo). When Queen Dowager Insu had Buddhist scriptures published to pray for the spirits of deceased Kings Sejo, Yejong, and Deokjong and for the long life of Queen Jeonghui and the current King and Queen, 200 copies of this book were included.
