Description

This white porcelain moon jar exhibits a full, voluminous body. The harmony of its physical proportions, such as the height, the size of the body, and the diameters of the mouth and foot, lends an appearance of stability to the overall form. The mouth and foot are slightly everted, while the body is not perfectly round, being more of a diamond shape, and displays a bilateral symmetry. The clay body is a light milky-white color, and is covered in a thick layer of lustrous glaze. The relic’s overall shape is well-balanced and proportionate, except for the rim, which is slightly short and thin relative to the body. Nonetheless, this white porcelain moon jar exhibits a restrained artistry and refined beauty.
