Description
This royal certificate was issued to Admiral Yi Sun-sin and his navy by King Seonjo on September 15, 1596 (the 29th year of the reign of King Seonjo of the Joseon Dynasty). The royal certificate was given to the Left Jeolla Province Naval Forces including its commander Yi Sun-sin in recognition of their victories in battle during the Japanese Invasion of Korea (1592~1598).
