Description
Jangseung beopsu is the book published to enable a search easy by collecting the names recorded in the Tripitaka, total list of the Buddhist books and by arranging them in order. This edition consists of the two volumes of block book and was reprinted by Priest Muhakdaesa in 1389, 1st year of King Gongyang. There are a couple of transmissions, but the extraordinary epilogue having the publication progress written by Muhakdaesa is rare to see. There is an epilogue in Jo Myeonggi's collection designated as Treasure No. 703, but Jo Byeongsun's designated as Treasure No. 704 doesn't have any epilogue. These two editions has a little bit abraded part on the engraved word, which demonstrates that it seems to have been printed in so much later than the word-engraved year, and the Jo Byeongsun's collection after so much later time than this. Considering the status of book, all these books don't seem to be the first edition and it is rare as the edition in Goryeo.
