Description
The Geubam Collection of Poems was written by Min Sapyeong (1295∼1359), who was a scholar and civil official at the end of Goryeo. It was created by Yi Ih in 1370, the 19th year of the reign of King Gongmin, when held the post of governor of Gyeongsang-do. The poems were printed in a block book, together with an epilogue written by Yi Saek. In the long period since its publication, Chapters 1 and 2 and sixteen other chapters from Volumes 1 to 4 have been damaged and later recovered. Geubam myojimyeong yeonbo follows he preface written by Yi Jehyeon and Yi Saek, and consists of five volumes such as Gosi, Yulsi, and Saso. The book is currently in the collection of Jo Byeongsun, and designated as Treasure No. 708. This anthology is somewhat damaged and repaired, but this is the sole surviving edition of Geubamjip and so remains an important source for researches in philology and poetics.
