Description
This celadon vase from the mid-Goryeo period is one of the finest examples of a Goryeo celadon prunus vase in terms of its form, the color of its glaze, its decorative motif, and excellent state of preservation. While slightly smaller than ordinary prunus vases, its elegant, balanced body and elaborate inlaid design make it an outstanding work. The inlaid designs on the surface of the body include a white and black slip fret pattern encircling the upper and lower parts of the body, and a few flying cranes and clouds on the rest of its surface.
