Description
This collection of seven woodblocks stored at Gaesimsa Temple in Seosan was used to print Dalmadaesa hyeolmaengnon (Treatise on the Blood Pulse by Bodhisdharma), which was published in the fifth month of 1579. The blocks are preserved almost intact and known to be the oldest remaining examples of their kind, although there are earlier editions, including those published by Ongnyongsa Temple in Gwangyang (1473) and Ansimsa Temple in Mudeungsan Mountain (1570), whose printing blocks have not survived to the present.
