Description

Discovered inside the main burial vault of Bokcheon-dong Tomb No. 11 in Dongnae, Busan, this gilt-bronze crown is made of cut bronze plates and decorated with simple designs and pendent ornaments, and is characterized by a unique form rarely seen in similar artifacts unearthed from other Silla (57 BCE-935) tombs. Due to the originality of its form, the crown is regarded as a valuable source of information on the crowns of Silla and Gaya (42-562).
