Description
The Taoist School of Thought Debates - Mouze Lihuolun (Master Mou’s Treatise on Clarifying Doubts) was written by Mouze, who is thought to have originated from Han China, to clarify people’s doubts about Buddhism. Kept at Gaesimsa Temple at Gayasan Mountain, Chungcheongnam-do, these woodblocks of The Taoist School of Thought Debates (4 plates) were re-engraved at Bowonsa Temple at Gayasan Mountain in Chungcheongnam-do in 1580 (the 13th year of the reign of King Seonjo). During the Joseon Period, only a very small number of copies of the work were printed with woodblocks. Although one plate (Chapter 1) is missing, it is the oldest surviving woodblock related with the book, which makes it a particularly valuable material.
