The Six Sutras include Vajracchedika prajnaparamita Sutra (Diamond Sutra), Avatamsaka Sutra (Flower Garland Sutra), Commentary on the Avatamsaka Sutra (Flower Garland Sutra), Amitabha Buddha Sutra, and Saddharmapundarika Sutra (Lotus Sutra). This book was printed in 1472 (third year of the reign of King Seongjong of the Joseon Dynasty) following the wishes of Queen Dowager Insu. The postscript by Kim Su-on was printed in gabin type and added to the end of this book, showing that this book is one of the many Buddhist scriptures printed from the existing wooden type patronized by Queen Dowager Insu. With its good printing condition and the explanation on the background of its publication, this book is considered an important material for bibliographical studies and history of Buddhism.
