The Vajracchedika Prajnaparamita Sutra is a compilation of Buddhist Scriptures that were widely read during the Goryeo Period and other writings, including the Vajracchedika Prajnaparamita (Diamond) Sutra, Mahavajpulya-Buddha Avatamska Sutra, Precepts of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, Sutra of Forty-two Chapters, Sutra on the Buddha’s Bequeathed Teaching, Inspiring Advice of Wéi Shān, Sitatapatra Dharani, and Marici Nama Dharani Mantra. In view of the contents, this is a very rare book that one is unlikely to come across anywhere in the country. The epilogue and the list of the private individuals who took part in the work of compiling the book make it a valuable material for scholars engaged in research on the Buddhist Scriptures of the Goryeo Period, and a work worthy of designation as a “Treasure”.
