As a book compiled by Monk Nimiaoxing of the Song Dynasty of China, this contains precepts taught by prestigious monks, songs preaching of Buddhism, poems, and prose. Printed out of the wood block, it (three volumes comprising a book) measures 25.7㎝ by 17.5㎝. The remarks made at the end of the book say that it was published by Gangyeongdogam (a government organization in charge of publication) in 1462 (the 8th year of King Sejo’s reign), and that the content was handwritten by Hwang O-sin and proofread by Yun Pil-sang, No Sa-sin, and Han Gye-hui. The printing, which was made neat and clean, shows that the wood block was made exquisitely. It is an important material telling us that the publication was carried out by a government agency established by King Sejo, and that prestigious scholars took part in the proofreading work.
