As a record of property inheritance written in 1480 (11th year of the reign of King Seongjong of the Joseon Dynasty), this document belonged to the siblings of the 16th grandson of the celebrated clan of Sangsan Kim, including Kim Gwang-ryeo, his brother Kim Gwang-beom, and his sister, the wife of Han Geon. This document recorded the distribution of land and slaves inherited by their parents. The order of property inheritance was carried out according to the age of the members rather than gender. Therefore, the oldest son, Gwang-ryeo, had the priority, followed by his sister, and then the youngest, Gwang-beom. Their names and signatures are affixed at the end of the document, which is regarded as a precious material for the research on the society and family system of the Joseon Dynasty. In addition, it is considered a valuable document in confirming the idea of gender equality in the Joseon Period.
