Suneungeomgyeong is a must read for any Buddhist monk in training. The main idea of this book is that the real power comes from experience, and not just understanding the words of the Buddha. This is a copy of the Transcription of Shurangama Sutra in silk on hemp. It’s the last of the ten chapters of Neungeomgyeong. The book cover is missing and the silk letters are faded. At the end of the book, there is a record that it was made to pray for the late Yi Bang-han's mother in 1365. This record seems to be related to the other nine parts of Neungeomgyeong. The value and uniqueness of this book do not lie in the calligraphic style, but rather the hemp paper and exact year of publication.
