Description
This gilt-bronze wick trimmer, one of several daily household items discovered at Wolji Pond, adjacent to the site of Silla’s royal palace, is shaped like a pair of scissors. The intricate punchmark decoration on the surface reveals that it is a work of the eighth century, when the Unified Silla Dynasty was at the zenith of its power and prosperity.
