Description
Kim Il-son, a scholar in the early Joseon Period, owned this geomungo (six-stringed Korean zither, measuring 160 cm X 19 cm X 10 cm). There is an inscription “Tak Yeong-geum” in the middle section of the geomungo. Some parts of this instrument have been preserved well while others are in need of repair. Many scholars liked this geomungo during the old days and Kim Il-son's Geomungo is the only instrument designated as a National Cultural Heritage.
